[Consumerwide - Youngchul Woo Reporter/ Yohan Bok Reporter] Seoulsi is giving away 1000 recycled bicycles to citizens with low income, which can reduce carbon emissions as well as bring social contribution, as a part of their transportation policy to walk alongside citizens in vulnerable conditions.

Referring to Seoulsi on the 11th, Seoulsi is giving out remade bicycles, which are collected from public areas (road and bicycle parking lots) and forgotten for a long time and remade with only reusable parts, to citizens, including children, in vulnerable condition throughout two divided semesters (each 500 units), aiming to vitalize bicycles in the city while enhancing the mobility rights of citizens. The Tmoney Welfare Fund supports the entire expenses for the project; the Seoul Province Self-sufficiency Centre manufactures and distributes recycled bicycles to citizens; the Seoul Council on Social Welfare conducts research and selects target citizens; and Seoulsi, overseas, undertakes the entire project as it's part of their recycled bicycle sales project in cooperation with 13 self-sufficiency centres in Seoul since 2013.

An associated person from the city said, "This recycled bicycle support treaty is a social contribution project that has an effect on improving transportation for vulnerable citizens, increasing the profit of workers at the self-sufficiency centre (transportation and welfare), reducing carbon, and vitalizing recycled bicycles (environment), and it can benefit many citizens. We will try to approach it from various perspectives to practice our transportation policy, which walks alongside citizens in vulnerable condition while focusing on increasing the use of bicycles in the city."
